Frantoio Raguso was born in 1904 between the sunny plains and the beautiful blades of the Murgia, in Apulia, the kingdom of extra-virgin olive oil. In this land where, for
millennia the human events were intertwined with the logs, branches, the fruit of this tree, is concentrated 3.8% of oil wealth of the planet.
With more than 50 million olive trees, Apulia is the first place for the production of olives and oil and
in the Italian panorama.
Oil of Apulia represents a heritage that speaks the language of history, agriculture, gastronomy, tourism, nature. The extra-virgin oil, according to the olives from which is produced, has various characteristics. In the Murgia, in particular, olives made sweeter by the ideal conditions maturation, giving rise to an extra oil excellent quality.
The percentage of free oleic acid determines the degree of acidity of the oil, in fact, according to the degrees of acidity and flavor the only names used for trade. Oil Raguso is strictly extra-virgin (Virgin olive oil acidity is not more than 1 g. per 100 g.).
